Big Steps in Pre-K

Pre‑K is a year of big growth—confidence, curiosity, and early school‑readiness skills all start to shine. Our classroom gives children a warm, structured place to learn, play, and prepare for kindergarten.
 

What We’re Learning

  • Weekly letters and sight words

  • Early writing, reading readiness, and clear pronunciation

  • Counting, number sense, patterns, and simple math concepts

  • Social skills like teamwork, listening, and taking turns

  • Following multi‑step directions and building classroom independence
     

How We Build Skills

  • Two daily large‑group learning times

  • Hands‑on centers designed around weekly themes

  • Teacher‑guided and child‑led activities

  • Play, creative art, sensory exploration, and music

  • Activities for fine‑motor strength and problem‑solving
     

Daily Experiences​

  • Practice with kindergarten basics: body basics, hand‑raising, turn‑taking

  • Movement, music, and language‑rich activities

  • Opportunities for independence and responsibility

Growing into Kindergarten

Pre‑K children are eager to try new things, work with friends, and show what they know. With gentle guidance, they build the confidence, focus, and social skills that help them step into Kindergarten feeling ready and excited.
